David Foster is a Canadian musician, record producer, composer, songwriter, and arranger, widely known for his role as a producer for musicians including: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Alice Cooper, Christina Aguilera, Andrea Bocelli, Toni Braxton, Michael Buble, Chicago, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Kenny G, Josh Groban, Brandy Norwood, Jennifer Lopez, Kenny Rogers, Seal, Rod Stewart, Charice, Donna Summer, Olivia Newton-John, Madonna, Mary J. Blige, Cheryl Lynn and Barbra Streisand. Back in the days, Foster was a keyboardist, for the pop group Skylark, with the top ten hit ”Wildflower” in 1973. After his departure from the group, and as the beginning of a long successful career, he contributed on the albums of a series of artists including: George Harrison’s Extra Texture and Thirty Three & 1/3, Guthrie Thomas Lies and Alibis with Ringo Starr, and Earth, Wind & Fire’s album I Am. For the latter, Foster was a studio player, arranger, and co-writer of six of the album’s tracks, mostly recognized being ”After the Love Has Gone”, for which foster and his cowriters won the 1980 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. David has received several notable awards, including: Order of British Columbia, Order of Canada, Songwriters Hall of fame Inductee, and a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. David Foster has won 16 Grammy Awards, including three Grammy Awards for the Producer of the year.
